A gala event introducing a wide variety of  traditional Korean dress(Hanbok) and dance was staged at roadshow at Gangnam Ku Office Auditorium in south of Seoul on Oct.3 as part of Artprize Gangnam Roadshow 2019 under the sponsorship of  Amway.

Taking the center stage of the event were Ms Min Ji-young and members of her art troupe popularly known as Ariart .

Members of foreign diplomatic corps in Korea and other prominent sociopolitical leaders were invited to the event  featuring  trend of traditional  Korean Hanbok.

Among invited guests to the event  Ferdinand Renz, Ambassador for Austria and Lakhvinder Singh PHD of Visiting Professor of the Kyungnam University. Russian guests to the event included  Maloletko Yulia, Kasimova Alilna, Kasimova Lena, Grishenkov a Mrina and Shirokovatr Olga to name just a few.

The hanbok's attractiveness even shines through in the lovely lines created by the body's movement while wearing it.
Hanbok has a history of over 1,600 years. Hanbok  is a collective term for traditional Korean clothing.
Though there have been slight changes in hanbok over time in terms of material, preferred colors, and the length of the skirt or jacket, the hanbok's basic format has more or less remained the same for the past 1,600 years.
Hanbok can be classified into ceremonial and everyday dress, each of which can be further classified by gender, age and season. All types of hanbok are created beautifully through combinations of straight and slightly curved lines.
Women's hanbok in particular are recognized worldwide for the simple yet delightful harmony of their short jackets and full skirts. The jacket, which is put on one arm at a time, makes the upper body look very small, while the skirt worn wrapped around the waist makes the lower body look full, creating an attractive balance.

During the event, a group of young Koreans demonstrated the Taekwɒndo, a Korean martial art, characterized by its emphasis on head-height kicks, jumping and spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques.
Taekwondo is a combative sport and was developed during the 1940s and 1950s by Korean martial artists with experience in martial arts such as karate, Chinese martial arts, and indigenous Korean martial arts traditions such as Taekkyon, Subak, and Gwonbeop. The oldest governing body for Taekwondo is the Korea Taekwondo Association (KTA) formed in 1959 through a collaborative effort by representatives from the nine original kwans, or martial arts schools,
in Korea. The main international organisational bodies for Taekwondo today are the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF), founded by Choi Hong Hi in 1966, and the partnership of the Kukkiwon and World Taekwondo (WT, formerly WTF), founded in 1972 and 1973 respectively by the Korea Taekwondo Association.[6] Gyeorugi ([kjʌɾuɡi]), a type of full-contact sparring, has been an Olympic event since 2000. The governing body for Taekwondo in the Olympics and Paralympics is World Taekwondo.
